Low velocity impact response and post impact compression behaviour of ESTM-fabric/3266 composites

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2020
A novel kind of lattice-distributed ESTM-fabrics (ES-L) and random-distributed ESTM-fabrics (ES-R) were developed by using polyethersulfone (PES) and U3160 according to ex-situ toughening technology.

Molecular Filters for Noise Reduction [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 2018
Living systems are inherently stochastic and operate in a noisy environment, yet despite all these uncertainties, they perform their functions in a surprisingly reliable way. The biochemical mechanisms used by natural systems to tolerate and control noise are still not fully understood, and this issue also limits our capacity to engineer reliable ...

Noise Abatement Approach Using Computer Simulation Model for Urban Indian Road of a Tier-2 City

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2021
Noise pollution is a major problem nowadays. In urban context, road traffic is the main source of noise pollution. People directly exposed to road traffic noise suffer from moderate to severe annoyance, headache, stress, feeling of exhaustion, and ...

Vector casting for noise reduction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, 2020
AbstractWe report a new method for the reduction of noise from spectra. This method is based on casting vectors from one data point to the following data points of the noisy spectrum. The noise‐reduced spectrum is computed from the casted vectors within a margin that is identified by an envelope‐finder algorithm.

Phase Morphology and Chemorheology during Curing of Polyethersulfone/Bismaleimide Multi-phase System

open access: yesJournal of Aeronautical Materials, 2018
Curing characteristic of bismaleimide (BMI)/polyethersulfone (PES) multi-phase systems was studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) using the non-isothermal method under different heating rates.

Profiling instances in noise reduction [PDF]

open access: yesKnowledge-Based Systems, 2012
The dependency on the quality of the training data has led to significant work in noise reduction for instance-based learning algorithms. This paper presents an empirical evaluation of current noise reduction techniques, not just from the perspective of their comparative performance, but from the perspective of investigating the types of instances that

NOISE REDUCTION IN ACOUSTIC DISDROMETRY

open access: yes8th European Conference on Noise Control 2009, 2023
This paper reports progress on the development of a novel rain disdrometer and the methods of noise reduction. The proposed instrument will measure the raindrop size distribution using the sound generated by raindrops landing in a tank of water. When an incident hydrometeor impacts on the surface of a liquid, two processes create an acoustic signal ...

Noise Reduction by Barriers [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1973
A literature review is prepared to summarize the present state of knowledge concerning the field performance of barriers, with particular reference to screen-type barriers on finite impedance ground, to barriers of finite thickness, to right-angle wedges, to multiple barriers, and to effects of wind.
