Study on noise reduction method of multiple heterogeneous noise of optical fiber inertial navigation for coal mine excavation equipment

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu, 2023
The optical fiber inertial navigation of coal mine excavation equipment is easy to be disturbed by multi-source heterogeneous noise such as vibration and electromagnetism in the underground excavation face, which leads to the reduction of the accuracy of

Television noise reduction device [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
A noise reduction system that divides the color video signal into its luminance and chrominance components is reported. The luminance component of a given frame is summed with the luminance component of at least one preceding frame which was stored on a ...

Quantum Enhanced Magnetometer with Low-Frequency Squeezing

open access: yes, 2012
We report the demonstration of a magnetometer with noise-floor reduction below the shot-noise level. This magnetometer, based on a nonlinear magneto-optical rotation effect, is enhanced by the injection of a squeezed vacuum state into its input.

Trailing Edge Noise Reduction by Passive and Active Flow Controls [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents the results on the use of porous metal foams (passive control) and dielectric barrier surface plasma actuations (active control) for the reduction of vortex shedding tonal noises from the nonflat plate type trailing edge serration in ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Fiber optic gyroscope with output signal noise reduction system: effect of system parameters on noise reduction [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Прикладная нелинейная динамика
The purpose of this work is to determine the optimal parameters for matching the signals of the measuring channels of a fiber-optic gyroscope with an output signal noise reduction system. Methods.

Noise Reduction in Spur Gear Systems

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
This article lists some tips for reducing gear case noise. With this aim, a static analysis was carried out in order to describe how stresses resulting from meshing gears affect the acoustic emissions.

Television noise-reduction device [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
System greatly improves signal-to-noise ratio with little or no loss in picture resolution. By storage of luminance component, which is summed with chrominance component, system performs mathematical integration of basically-repetitive television signals.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
