Noise measurements on machinery near a reflecting plane [PDF]
Noise test specifications for large equipment often requires that the measurements be made with the equipment out-of-doors resting on the ground (usually a smooth, paved surface), and with the sound level meter microphone positioned between 1 and 2 m above the ground.

A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Retrieval of reflections from seismic background‐noise measurements
The retrieval of the earth's reflection response from cross‐correlations of seismic noise recordings can provide valuable information, which may otherwise not be available due to limited spatial distribution of seismic sources. We cross‐correlated ten hours of seismic background‐noise data acquired in a desert area.

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Photoaligned and photopatterned liquid crystal platforms provide programmable control of optical phase, polarization, and spin‐orbit interactions, enabling compact generation of structured light and complex wavefronts. This review highlights how tailored molecular orientations transform simple beams into designed optical fields, opening versatile ...

Accelerated Correction of Reflection Artifacts by Deep Neural Networks in Photo-Acoustic Tomography
Photo-Acoustic Tomography (PAT) is an emerging non-invasive hybrid modality driven by a constant yearning for superior imaging performance. The image quality, however, hinges on the acoustic reflection, which may compromise the diagnostic performance. To

The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable
