Patients With Stage III PLCNEC Advocated for Radiotherapy Combined With Chemotherapy While With Stage IV Focus on Individualized Management: Evidence From SEER. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Background PLCNEC is a rare and highly aggressive lung cancer with a poor prognosis. Multimodal therapy, primarily chemotherapy‐based, is the standard for advanced PLCNEC, but the role of radiotherapy remains unclear. Methods We analyzed 1086 PLCNEC patients receiving chemotherapy from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER ...

Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) significantly improves overall survival over adjuvant chemoradiotherapy for resectable cT3‐4a esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, with comparable progression‐free survival and toxicity. This propensity‐matched study supports NCRT as the preferred strategy for this high‐risk population.

A prognostic nomogram integrating radiomic features and white matter hyperintensity (WMH) grading was developed to enable individualized survival prediction in patients with brain metastases (BMs). Integration of these imaging biomarkers into the clinical model enhanced predictive performance, indicating their incremental prognostic value for BM ...
