Optimizing Additive Approximations of Non-additive Distortion Functions [PDF]

open access: closedProceedings of the 2021 ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security, 2021
The progress in steganography is hampered by a gap between non-additive distortion functions, which capture well complex dependencies in natural images, and their additive counterparts, which are efficient for data embedding. This paper proposes a theoretically justified method to approximate the former by the latter.

Exploring Non-Additive Distortion in Steganography [PDF]

open access: closedProceedings of the 6th ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security, 2018
Leading steganography systems make use of the Syndrome-Trellis Code (STC) algorithm to minimize a distortion function while encoding the desired payload, but this constrains the distortion function to be additive. The Gibbs Embedding algorithm works for a certain class of non-additive distortion functions, but has its own limitations and is highly ...

Survey on image non-additive steganography

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报, 2021
Image non-additive steganography not only can better maintain the distribution of image elements, but also has high detection resistance.Firstly, the image non-additive image steganography methods were sorted out and divided into two major categories ...

Binary image steganography method based on layered embedding

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报, 2021
A non-additive distortion binary image steganography method was proposed which divided the cover image into two sub cover images, updated the distortion through delivering influence factor, and used the minimizing distortion codes to achieve message ...

Diffraction-Based Residual Stress Characterization in Laser Additive Manufacturing of Metals

open access: yesMetals, 2021
Laser-based additive manufacturing methods allow the production of complex metal structures within a single manufacturing step. However, the localized heat input and the layer-wise manufacturing manner give rise to large thermal gradients.
