Conformational Technique for Non-Anatomic Resection of Liver Lesions
Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, 2012Safe margin-negative hepatic resection with maximal preservation of normal liver parenchyma is the primary operative objective in treating patients with metastatic or primary liver malignancies. A technique to perform non-anatomic liver resection(s) for large lesions that may involve major hepatic vascular structures is herein described. This technique

Anatomic resection, i.e., systematic removal of a liver segment confined by portal branches, is theoretically effective in eradicating intrahepatic metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The procedure may reduce tumour recurrence and enhance survival of HCC patients.

Objective: The relative benefit of anatomic resection (AR) versus non-anatomic resection (NAR) of HCC remains poorly defined. We sought to evaluate the available evidence on oncologic outcomes, as well as the clinical efficacy and safety of AR versus NAR

Non-anatomical Resections of the Lung
2012The value of non-anatomical wedge-shaped lung resection should primarily be regarded from its diagnostic aspect. Technically, in a hospital with experience in minimally invasive surgery, it comes under “minor surgery”, even though in terms of numbers it counts as one of the most commonly performed procedures.

Laparoscopic Non-anatomical Liver Resection
2015We began to explore the technique of laparoscopic hepatectomy by curettage and aspiration (LHCA) in August 1998. For the purpose of safe dissection of the liver parenchyma, the laparoscopic Peng’s multifunctional operative dissector (LPMOD) (Cai et al. 2006) was designed. Blunt dissection is the major point of this technique.

Cesarean section per se is not a risk factor for non‐anatomical placenta creta
International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 2022AbstractObjectiveTo investigate whether mild forms of placenta creta (MPC) are more common in placentas delivered by cesarean section for non‐anatomical indications than in placentas from vaginal deliveries.MethodsThis is a retrospective clinical study in which MPC was diagnosed histologically by the presence of myometrial fibers in the decidua basalis

Recurrence patterns after hepatic resection has been poorly understood in view of tumor blood flow drainage (TBFD) area. Our goal was to clarify the recurrence patterns after anatomical versus nonanatomical hepatic resection for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).A total of 424 consecutive patients with HCC, who were treated by curative resection (R0) at ...
