Conformational Technique for Non-Anatomic Resection of Liver Lesions
Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, 2012Safe margin-negative hepatic resection with maximal preservation of normal liver parenchyma is the primary operative objective in treating patients with metastatic or primary liver malignancies. A technique to perform non-anatomic liver resection(s) for large lesions that may involve major hepatic vascular structures is herein described. This technique

Longterm Results of Non-Anatomical Reconstruction of Proximal Humerus
Acta chirurgiae orthopaedicae et traumatologiae Cechoslovaca, 2018PURPOSE OF THE STUDY Treatment of comminuted three- and four-part displaced proximal humerus fractures continues to be discussed in daily trauma practice. In fractures with metaphyseal comminuted fractures the anatomical reconstruction is often technically unfeasible.

Use of a non‐anatomic mini‐fragment fixation system for foot fractures
ANZ Journal of Surgery, 2023AbstractBackgroundPlating techniques for the fixation of foot fractures can utilize pre‐contoured region‐specific plates or non‐anatomic non‐specific mini‐fragment plating systems, however there is limited published data describing complication rates.MethodsThis study reviewed the complication rates and performed a cost analysis of 45 foot fractures ...

Solo single incision laparoscopic S8 non‐anatomical resection and left lateral sectionectomy
Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, 2021Highlight Jung and colleagues demonstrated the feasibility of single-port laparoscopic multiple liver resection using the lift-up technique and the parallel method. In this video they present their technique, indicating the new possibility of hepatectomy using the ordinary skills of laparoscopic hepatectomy through a single port.

Anatomic resection, i.e., systematic removal of a liver segment confined by portal branches, is theoretically effective in eradicating intrahepatic metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The procedure may reduce tumour recurrence and enhance survival of HCC patients.

Laparoscopic Non-anatomical Liver Resection
2015We began to explore the technique of laparoscopic hepatectomy by curettage and aspiration (LHCA) in August 1998. For the purpose of safe dissection of the liver parenchyma, the laparoscopic Peng’s multifunctional operative dissector (LPMOD) (Cai et al. 2006) was designed. Blunt dissection is the major point of this technique.

Non-anatomical Resections of the Lung
2012The value of non-anatomical wedge-shaped lung resection should primarily be regarded from its diagnostic aspect. Technically, in a hospital with experience in minimally invasive surgery, it comes under “minor surgery”, even though in terms of numbers it counts as one of the most commonly performed procedures.
