Optimal design of gear ratio using non-circular gear for jumping robot
For the effective use of motor power, an appropriate gear ratio has to be selected according to robot tasks and motions. Because a jumping robot, in particular, requires both high torque and high velocity properties through its motion, a varying gear ratio will realize a high performance.

Here, we present a textile, wearable capacitive interface enabling multidirectional remote control by dynamically modulating electrode overlap and spacing via a freely gliding upper electrode. A forearm‐mounted prototype drives robotic and media tasks with 12–15 ms latency, maintains < 0.8% drift after 500 cycles, and remains stably functional at 90 ...

To overcome two‐dimensional modulation bottlenecks, Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging (HMS‐SPI) establishes an efficient one‐dimensional imaging paradigm. By slicing the traditional Hadamard matrix into one‐dimensional encoding vectors and spatially expanding them, the required measurement patterns decrease by a factor of N.

Variable Stiffness Hinge Using Non-Circular Gears
This paper presents design of a new antagonistic variable stiffness hinge using noncircular gears. First, we show a method to convert a torsion spring to an arbitrary nonlinear torsion spring by nonuniform circular motion of noncircular gears. This nonlinear torsion spring is called ρ2-Spring.
