Intratumoral microbiota: implications for cancer progression and treatment
The human body has a diverse range of microbiota that influences human physiological processes and alters disease risk, involving cancer. Metagenomic sequencing investigations have revealed that the microbiota is an element of the tumor microenvironment,

Tryptophan metabolite atlas uncovers organ, age, and sex‐specific variations
Tryptophan metabolites were analyzed across twelve organs, the central nervous system, and serum in male and female mice at three life stages. We found tissue‐, sex‐, and age‐specific differences, including increased indole‐3‐pyruvate and kynurenine in aging males.

Comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes from 14 genera of Thymelaeaceae revealed variation in gene content, ranging from 128 to 142 genes, primarily influenced by IR expansion/contraction events and pseudogenization of ndhF, ndhI, and ndhG. Two large inversions were detected within the large single‐copy region, including a synapomorphic inversion ...

IGF2BP2‐induced circRNF20 facilitates breast cancer cell proliferation via the HuR/CDCA4 axis
This study aimed to explore the mechanism of insulin‐like growth factor 2 mRNA‐binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2) affecting the proliferation of breast cancer (BC) cells.

SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

Computational mechanisms in genetic regulation by RNA
The evolution of the genome has led to very sophisticated and complex regulation. Because of the abundance of non-coding RNA (ncRNA) in the cell, different species will promiscuously associate with each other, suggesting collective dynamics similar to ...
