Research on the Performance and Multi-Field Coupling Regulation Mechanism of the Nozzle-Adjustable Steam Ejector

open access: yesEnergies
Adjustable steam ejectors exhibit significant adaptability to various operating conditions. However, the coupling regulation mechanism between ejector performance and the internal flow field remains insufficiently understood, thereby limiting further ...

Universal Strategy for Phase‐Selective Synthesis of Monolayer TMDs via Colloidal Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Colloidal synthesis of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) remains challenging regarding uniform size, thickness, and crystalline phase. While significant progress has been made in phase engineering, a unified chemical strategy for on‐demand selection of both 2H and 1T′ phases across multiple TMD systems within a single chemical ...

Bioinspired Adaptive Surfaces for Intelligent Liquid Manipulation: Progressing From Passive and Active to Hybrid Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines passive, active, and hybrid liquid manipulation strategies, highlighting hybrid approaches as an emerging route to reconcile energy efficiency with adaptive control. By actively reconstructing passive surfaces to store programmable interfacial energy, hybrid systems enable flexible yet low‐power liquid transport, with perspectives ...

Dynamic control of the Bose–Einstein-like condensation transition in scalar active matter

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
The dynamics of a generic class of scalar active matter exhibiting a diffusivity edge is studied in a confining potential where the amplitude is governed by a time-dependent protocol.

Hydrophobic MFI‐Type Zeolites via Alkali‐Cation‐Induced Defect Healing: Implications for Adsorbent and Catalyst Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Sub‐stoichiometric amounts of Na+ or K+ enhance defect healing during Silicalite‐1 (MFI) and TS‐1 calcination by promoting Si–O–Si annealing and healing framework vacancies. The resulting defect‐free zeolites are more hydrophobic and show improved butanol/water separation and improved activity and selectivity in the epoxidation of 1‐hexene, offering a ...

Non-equilibrium dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the following work we investigate the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates(BECs) under the influence of time-dependent potentials. The response of such a sensitive system to external perturbations is a matter of increasing interest. This is because of the enormous growth in understanding the physics and emerging applications of BECs in many areas ...

Kinetic theory of non-equilibrium condensation of microcavity polaritons

open access: yes, 2004
We develop a kinetic theory of microcavity polaritons in presence of both Coulomb and polariton-phonon interaction, obeying particle number conservation. We study the growth of a macroscopic population of condensed particles in the lowest polariton state, under steady-state incoherent excitation of higher energy states.
