Filmwise condensation on a horizontal tube in the presence of forced convection and non-condensing gas

open access: yes, 1982
PhDAccurate and repeatable heat-transfer data have been obtained for filmwise condensation from pure vapours (steam and Refrigerant 113) and vapour-gas (steam-air, steam-hydrogen, Refrigerant 1 13-air and Refrigerant 113- hydrogen) mixtures flowing

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Non-equilibrium Condensation in the Actomyosin Cortex

open access: yes, 2022
Cells use energy to maintain order, as living systems are inherently non-equilibrium. Or- der in the cytoplasm is achieved by compartmentalization.

Signatures of Edge States in Antiferromagnetic Van der Waals Josephson Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The combination of superconductivity and magnetic textures leads to unconventional superconducting phenomena, including new correlated and topological phases. Van der Waals (vdW) materials emerge as a versatile platform for exploring the interplay between these two competing orders.

Flux cycles as building blocks of non-equilibrium steady states [PDF]

open access: yes
Detailed balance and the resulting constraints on equilibrium steady states constitute corner stones of statistical physics. No principles of comparable significance are known for non- equilibrium steady states.

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

The use of Multithreshold Cross Sections for the Image Analysis of the Microstructure Surface [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал нано- та електронної фізики, 2015
The problems of computer materials of complex surfaces and ways of solving them were discussed. For processes – pickling steel with non-metallic inclusions, condensation vacuum arc coating droplet phase, as well as magnetron sputtering under non ...

Non-equilibrium dynamics of Bose Einstein condensates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This thesis examines two aspects of the non-equilibrium dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs). Our particular interests are the relaxation of near-integrable systems, and the inter-particle correlations present in BECs, both in equilibrium and following an abrupt change in the Hamiltonian.

Organic polaritons : modelling the effect of vibrational dressing

open access: yes, 2015
This thesis is a theoretical study of the effects of vibrational degrees of freedom on the polariton physics. The work is motivated by recent experiments, which show that by allowing light to strongly couple with organic matter (inside a microcavity ...
