An Effective Field Theory Study of Medium Heavy Quark Evolution
The evolution of hard probes in a medium is a complex multiscale problem that significantly benefits from the use of Effective Field Theories (EFTs). Within the EFT framework, we aim to define a series of EFTs in a way that addresses each energy scale ...

Depletion and Development: Natural Resource Supply with Endogenous Field Opening [PDF]
This paper develops a model in which supply of a non-renewable resource can adjust through two margins: the rate of depletion and the rate of field opening.

Real-time gravitational wave response in thermal spinning fields
We study how the spin content of the thermal plasmas affects the propagation of gravitational waves in a radiation-dominated universe. As a simple but representative setup, we consider conformal scalar, Weyl fermion, and Maxwell fields that provide the ...

Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Non-Equilibrium Informational Field Theory Axioms
This treatise presents the Non-Equilibrium Informational Field Theory (NIFT) Axioms, afoundational framework positing that the universe is fundamentally composed not of matter orenergy, but of physically real patterns of information evolving within a dissipative substrate.

Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

Space-time generalization of mutual information
The mutual information characterizes correlations between spatially separated regions of a system. Yet, in experiments we often measure dynamical correlations, which involve probing operators that are also separated in time.

High Performance Durable Vanadium Dioxide Spectral Selective Modulation Smart Windows
Crystallinity‐enhanced VO2 nanoparticles with a self‐limited amorphous oxidation shell achieve an order of magnitude durability improvement and high spectral selective modulation performance (luminous transmittance of 28.5%, solar modulation of 10.5%, and mid‐infrared emissivity modulation of 0.5) for smart windows.
