Finite thermal convection of non-Fourier fluids

International Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2016
Abstract The thermal convection is examined theoretically for fluids possessing significant thermal relaxation time, characterizing the response of the heat flux and the temperature gradient to changes in one another. Fourier's law breaks down for such fluids.

AN ITERATIVE FILTERING ALGORITHM FOR NON‐FOURIER FREQUENCY ESTIMATION

Journal of Time Series Analysis, 1994
Abstract. We study an iterative filtering method to estimate frequencies of random Gaussian sinusoids in white noise. The method uses higher order crossings and takes advantage of a fixed point to guide the use of bandpass filtering in an attempt effectively to increase the signal‐to‐noise ratio.

Inverse investigation of non-Fourier heat conduction in tissue

Journal of Thermal Biology, 2016
This paper attempts to describe the heat conduction in tissue using the dual-phase-lag mode. Evaluating the thermo-physical parameters is one of the ways to certify the thermal behavior. As a result, the paper simultaneously and inversely estimates the values of τq, τT and α for bologna based on the dual-phase-lag mode with the measurement data in the ...

Non-Fourier Electromagnetics of Magnetized Media

1999
The goal of this chapter is to develop the theory of nonstationary EM fields in stationary magnetized media. In discussing radiophysical phenomena, we must keep in mind that the smallest time scales of continuous media produced by the extremal magnetic field Ho belong to the radio-frequency range.

Non-Fourier thermal conduction in nano-scaled electronic structures

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2006
When very fast phenomena and small structure dimensions are involved, the classical law of Fourier becomes inaccurate. A more sophisticated model is then needed to describe the thermal conduction mechanisms in a physically acceptable way. In this paper the according diffusion equation is solved for a nano-scaled semiconductor substrate, in order to ...

Simulation tool for non-Fourier MRSI reconstruction

ISMRM Annual Meeting
With the wider availability of ultra-high field MR systems, metabolic imaging using MRSI is a fast-developing area of research. Frequently used sequences use non-uniformly sampled trajectories to achieve high-acceleration factors e.g. concentric-ring trajectories (CRT).

Basic Problems of Non-Fourier Heat Conduction

2019
In this chapter, the non-Fourier heat conduction equations along with the boundary and initial conditions are solved for one-dimensional (1D) media with semi-infinite or finite dimensions in Cartesian, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates.

Nonequilibrium Temperature in Non-Fourier Heat Conduction

2015
The definition of temperature is the foundation of thermodynamics. In extended irreversible thermodynamics (EIT) which goes beyond the classical one to be compatible with the non-Fourier heat conduction, the nonequilibrium temperature is defined. Based on the thermomass theory, it is shown that the static and stagnant pressures of the thermomass flow ...

Propagation of thermoelastic disturbances in non-Fourier solids

AIAA Journal, 1977
Integral transform techniques are employed to study the influence of small thermoelastic coupling on the propagation of thermoelastic disturbances in an infinite medium. The thermal relaxation time of heat conduction is also included in the analysis to insure that the thermal waves propagate with finite signal speeds.

Nicht-Fouriersche Wärmeleitung (non-Fourier heat conduction)

2000
