Senescent Cell Derived Artificial Vesicle‐Based Senolytic Sonovaccine Platform with Augmented Lymph Node Delivery and Antigen Cross‐Presentation Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A senolytic sonovaccine platform (SenoVac) is developed, in which senescent cell‐derived vesicles serve as broad senescent cell antigen reservior. The “2‐step” click chemistry strategy for effective lymph node delivery, and ultrasound‐triggered endosomal escape to boost cross‐presentation, ensures efficient senescent cell clearance and disease ...

Lipid Abnormalities Associated With Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Indian Academy of Neurology, 2005
Association of dyslipidemia with stroke is conflicting though recent studies point to their positive role. Sixty consecutive patients with stroke were analyzed for fasting lipid profile values.

SuFEx‐Enabled Reprogramming of Flavonoids for Selective α‐Glucosidase Covalent Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective inhibition of intestinal α‐glucosidase remains limited by poor enzyme specificity and off‐target metabolic effects. Here, SuFEx click chemistry is used to reprogram natural flavonoids into covalent inhibitors with enhanced α‐glucosidase selectivity and controlled reactivity. This strategy enables effective regulation of carbohydrate digestion

Chosen Vascular Risk Markers in Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome: An Age-Related Disorder

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, 2017
Purpose. To evaluate lipids and C-reactive protein serum levels in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) in the Polish population. Methods. 96 patients were studied with PEX and 79 control subjects. Total cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density

Age-and sex-specific reference intervals of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and non-HDL cholesterol. Comparison of two algorithms for the indirect estimation of reference intervals

open access: yesJournal of Laboratory Medicine, 2023
Reference intervals of total cholesterol concentrations in plasma and of their fractions low-density lipoprotein (LDL)-, high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-and non-HDL concentrations are seldom studied with respect to the relevance of age and sex. Therefore,

Inhibition of Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Erk1/2 Promotes Protein Degradation of ATP Binding Cassette Transporters A1 and G1 in CHO and in HuH7 cells.

open access: yes, 2013
Signal transduction modulates expression and activity of cholesterol transporters. We recently demonstrated that the Ras/mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascade regulates protein stability of Scavenger Receptor BI (SR-BI) through ...

Cholesterol Laundry of Cell Membrane and Fatty Liver by Detergent Liposomes to Improve Anti‐Cancer Drug Responsiveness of Patient Liver Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cholesterol‐enriched plasma membranes in hepatocellular carcinoma impede drug penetration. Cholesterol (+)‐liposomes act as membrane‐specific detergents, extracting cholesterol and reducing barrier function without cytotoxicity. Following endocytosis, cholesterol transfers from endosomes to liposomes and is metabolized in the ER.

Streamlining Diagnosis of Bardet–Biedl Syndrome: New Diagnostic Algorithm With Updated Criteria

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Considerable advances have been made in our understanding of Bardet–Biedl syndrome (BBS), particularly in its core clinical features and molecular genetics, warranting an update to the existing diagnostic criteria framework. Using a rigorous, evidence‐based, and consensus‐driven process, a multidisciplinary group of international experts and ...
