Uniformly Stability of Networked Control Systems with Non-Homogeneous Markov Chain

2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2018
This paper focuses on the stabilization problem for a class of networked control systems where packet loss is described by a Markov chain. Taking into account the variation of network status, the mode transition probability matrix (MTPM) of Markov chain varies randomly instead of being time-invariant or piecewise constant, and thus a non-homogeneous ...

Robust stabilization of uncertain non-homogeneous Markov jump linear systems

The 3rd International Conference on Control, Instrumentation, and Automation, 2013
This paper is concerned with the problem of designing a robust state-feedback stabilizer for continuous-time Markov jump linear systems with time varying transition rates, i.e. for a non-homogeneous Markov jump linear system. Transition rates are assumed to be piecewise constant, so the Markov jump linear system is piecewise homogeneous in fact.

On certain aspects of non-homogeneous Markov systems in continuous time

Journal of Applied Probability, 1990
In the present paper we study three aspects in the theory of non-homogeneous Markov systems under the continuous-time formulation. Firstly, the relationship between stability and quasi-stationarity is investigated and conditions are provided for a quasi-stationary structure to be stable.

Asymptotic periodicity of the variances and covariances of the state sizes in non-homogeneous Markov systems

Journal of Applied Probability, 1988
In this paper we study the asymptotic periodicity of the sequence of means, variances and covariances of the state sizes of non-homogeneous Markov systems. It is proved that under the assumption that the sequence of the extended stochastic transition matrices converge to a matrix which is an irreducible stochastic matrix of period d, and all the ...

Cyclic behaviour and asymptotic stability of non-homogeneous Markov systems

Journal of Applied Probability, 1984
In this paper we study the cyclic behaviour of non-homogeneous Markov systems, i.e. the behaviour of the system under the assumption of periodic sequences of transition matrices, input probabilities, output probabilities and total numbers in the system. We provide a general theorem for the limiting structure of such a system under the cyclic behaviour.

Theory of fuzzy non homogeneous Markov systems with fuzzy states

Quality & Quantity, 2014
In this paper the theory of fuzzy logic and fuzzy reasoning is combined with the theory of Markov systems and the concept of a fuzzy non homogeneous Markov system with fuzzy states is introduced for the first time. This is an effort to deal with the uncertainty introduced in the estimation of the transition probabilities, especially when social ...

Stability in a non-homogeneous Markov chain model in manpower systems

Journal of Applied Probability, 1981
Necessary and sufficient conditions for stability, imposed firstly on the initial structure and the sequence of recruitment, and secondly on the initial structure and the sequence of expansion are provided in forms of two theorems. Also the limiting behaviour of the expected relative grade sizes is studied if we drop the conditions for stability ...

Describing Labour Market Dynamics Through Non Homogeneous Markov System Theory

2020
The present paper applies the non-homogeneous Markov system (NHMS) theory to labour market transitions and provides a cross-national comparison of labour market flows among southern European countries. The theoretical adaptation of the NHMS model to labour market dynamics and its basic parameters are presented.

The non homogeneous semi-Markov system in a stochastic environment

1996
In the present we introduce and define for the first time the concept of a non-homogeneous semi Markov system in a stochastic environment (S-NHSMS). We study the problem of finding the expected population structure as a function of the basic parameters of the system.
