First records of non-indigenous species in port of Arzew (Algeria: southwestern Mediterranean)
Maritime transport is considered to be one of the main factors to transfer non-indigenous species (NIS), through biofouling of ships’ hulls and ballast water.

A solid‐state fermented probiotic (PYW) is developed using wheat bran as substrate, containing high viable Lacticaseibacillus paracasei and bioactive metabolites. PYW alleviates intestinal inflammation by gut microbiota composition, enriching indole derivatives, activating aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling, and regulating macrophage polarization. PYW

Marine Biosecurity Crisis Decision-Making: Two Tools to Aid “Go”/“No Go” Decision-Making
Determining if a newly detected marine species is introduced to an area is an important first step when considering if control or eradication should be attempted.

The effects of copper pollution on fouling assemblage diversity: a tropical-temperate comparison. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The invasion of habitats by non-indigenous species (NIS) occurs at a global scale and can generate significant ecological, evolutionary, economic and social consequences.

This study identifies Pirin (PIR), an iron‐binding protein, as a critical ferroptosis suppressor in colorectal cancer through lipid membrane remodeling. PIR, induced by NRF2 during ferroptotic stress, transcriptionally regulates PLA2G4A to shift cellular lipid composition away from ferroptosis‐permissive polyunsaturated phospholipids.

Are zooplankton invasions in constructed waters facilitated by simple communities? [PDF]
The invasion of non-indigenous species is considered to be one of the leading causes of biodiversity loss globally. My research aimed to determine if constructed water bodies (e.g., water supply reservoirs, dams and ponds) were invaded by zooplankton ...

Multi‐Tissue Omics Analysis Uncovers Translational Regulation Underlying Complex Traits in Pigs
Integrated multi‐omics across pig breeds and tissues reveals key principles of post‐transcriptional translational regulation and their contribution to trait formation. A gene network framework integrating transcriptomic and translatomic data is developed and applied to elucidate the genetic basis of meat production, offering new insights into mammalian
