Non-invasive 3D dynamic object analysis
4th IEEE Southwest Symposium on Image Analysis and Interpretation, 2002A non-invasive system is required to obtain three-dimensional subject extraction and description for recognition by gait. Of current three-dimensional systems, multi-view approaches appear to be the most suitable. To handle not only concavities, but also noise and occlusion, the volume intersection approach has been formulated as an evidence gathering ...

Non-invasive analysis of solid samples
TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2013Within the Green Analytical Chemistry paradigm, the best alternative for greening the methods of analysis comprises the direct determination of sample composition and/or sample properties without any chemical sample treatment, and, of course, it would be preferable not to have any physical treatment before acquisition of the information desired.

This chapter systematically presents the non-invasive POCT methods currently available to date. Furthermore, it explains why long-demanded non-invasive analysis nevertheless rarely provides clinically evaluable results.

Biosensors for Electrochemical Non Invasive Analysis
1993Amperometric alcohol, lactate and glucose sensors for non invasive measurements in human saliva, sweat and transbuccal mucosa have been developed and evaluated. These probes resulted in a high degree of selectivity and good stability. The response time was from a few seconds to two minutes making them suitable for analysis in a very short time ...

Diagnosis and grading of gastritis by non-invasive optical analysis
European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, 2004The precise identification of many diseases of the gastrointestinal tract requires the histological analysis of multiple biopsies of the lining mucosae, thus preventing an immediate diagnosis and the safe screening of the entire organ. To address these limitations, we developed a novel spectroscopic procedure for a real-time, non-invasive optical ...

A non-invasive method for kinematic analysis of knee joints
IEEE International Symposium on Signal Processing and Information Technology, 2013The most popular and accurate kinematic analysis methods for musculoskeletal injuries or diseases, prosthesis planning and design are invasive in nature. The invasive methods are harmful and painful for the patient and not practically feasible to use for pre-operation planning on healthy knees.

Non-invasive analysis of rat ovarian angiogenesis by MRI
Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, 2002Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was employed for non-invasive analysis of vascular remodeling during follicular maturation in the PMSG/hCG rat ovary model. Changes in water diffusion and in perfusion led us to suggest that hypoxic stress may be a component in the regulation of angiogenesis in the growing follicle.

Non‐invasive ventilation for severe bronchiolitis: Analysis and evidence
Pediatric Pulmonology, 2012AbstractObjectives(1) To examine whether infants with severe bronchiolitis, fulfilling criteria for further respiratory support, could be managed outside a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with non‐invasive ventilation (NIV) alone. (2) To study the characteristics, clinical course and outcome of NIV responders and non responders to assess safety ...

Non‐invasive biomarker sampling and analysis of the exhaled breath proteome
PROTEOMICS – Clinical Applications, 2009AbstractExhaled breath condensate (EBC) is a biological fluid that contains trace amounts of secreted pulmonary proteins, and is emerging as a potentially valuable and non‐invasively obtained source of disease biomarkers. Proteome analysis of these samples could lead to the identification of prognostic indicators of airway diseases.

Non-invasive collection and analysis of semen in wild macaques
Primates, 2013Assessments of primate male fertility via semen analyses are so far restricted to captivity. This study describes a non-invasive method to collect and analyse semen in wild primates, based on fieldwork with Yakushima macaques (Macaca fuscata yakui). Over nine mating seasons between 1993 and 2010, 128 masturbatory ejaculations were recorded in 21 males ...
