Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of Zr52Cu18Ni14Al10Ti6 metallic glass

In the present work, the thermal analysis of the bulk metallic glass with composition Zr52Cu18Ni14Al10Ti6 has been done by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) through non-isothermal method. DSC curves indicate a two-step crystallization process at all four heating rates, i.e., 5, 10, 15, and 20 °C min−1.

Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of the GeTe4 chalcogenide glass was studied in dependence on particle size. Complexity of the obtained DSC data was treated by means of the Fraser–Suzuki deconvolution, and the particular crystallization sub-processes were identified and described in terms of the JMA(2) and AC kinetic models.
