Integrating the Non-Line of Sight Launching System (NLOS-LS) in the United States Navy
2007Abstract : The global war on terror emphasizes the need for a weapon system that can improve the self-defense capability of the U.S. Navy ship against small surface craft threats. This MSSE Capstone Project investigated the feasibility of integrating the Non-Line of Sight Launching System (NLOS-LS) onto U.S. Navy ships.

OCEANS'11 MTS/IEEE KONA, 2011
Presented are experimental measurements comparing the frequency (i.e. - impulse) response (up to 1GHz) for an underwater optical communications channel as a function of water clarity using collimated or diffuse laser light. The measurement technique used is adapted from a previously reported method used for measuring the channel response of collimated ...

Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) Ultraviolet And Indoor Free-Space Optical (FSO) Communications
2014This chapter presents a new concept for exploiting non-line-of-sight (NLOS) free-space optical (FSO) communication. NLOS configuration can be achieved using scattering as a vehicle for a viable link, or using multipath propagation as in an indoor optical communication link.

Novel Approach of Spoofing Attack in VANET Location Verification for Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS)
2017Location verification of a vehicle in VANET under non-line-of-sight (NLOS) condition requires the questioned vehicle to be cooperatively located by questioner via another vehicle that has direct link with the vehicle in a state of NLOS condition. One of the challenges is to prove that the vehicle is physically located in a claimed position, and MHLVP ...

Non-Line of Sight-Combined Arms (NLOS-CA) Manpower, Personnel and Logistics Impact Analysis (LIA)
1993Abstract : The purpose of these analyses was to identify manpower, personnel and logistics impact caused by fielding the Non-Line of Sight - Combined Arms (NLOS- CA) weapon system (WS). These analyses were conducted as integral parts of the NLOS-CA Cost and Operational Effectiveness Analyses (COEA) study.
