Multilayer Self‐Limiting Electrospray Deposition via Stepped Voltage Bias

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐limiting electrospray deposition (SLED) uses a high voltage to generate and deposit a charged payload on a target surface. The coating retains its charge, repelling newly arriving material. SLED thickness can be decreased by applying a secondary bias to the target.

Non-line-of-sight scattering channel modeling for underwater optical wireless communication [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The characteristics of the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scattering channel for underwater optical wireless communication in the optical transmission window (wavelength of 400nm-600nm) are studied.

Non-line-of-sight 3D imaging with a single-pixel camera [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Real time, high resolution 3D reconstruction of scenes hidden from the direct field of view is a challenging field of research with applications in real-life situations related e.g. to surveillance, self-driving cars and rescue missions.

Single-scatter channel impulse response model of non-line-of-sight ultraviolet communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Previous studies on the temporal characteristics of single-scatter transmission in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) ultraviolet communications (UVC) were based on the prolate-spheroidal coordinate system.

Stereo non-line-of-sight imaging

open access: yesThe Visual Computer
Abstract Transient non-line-of-sight imaging techniques reconstruct hidden scenes by analyzing the time of flight of light scattered off a visible secondary surface, or relay wall. Despite many promising approaches, all face the inherent problem of the missing cone, which restricts surface visibility based on their position and ...

Correlated Charge Transport in an Organic Coulomb Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advances in the development of organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs), electrically gated organic semiconductors (EGOFETs), and organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) allow for the operation of these devices at very high charge‐carrier densities, where Coulomb interactions between carriers can be expected to become significant.

When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...
