A complete formulation of non-linear model-based stable predictive control strategy

Centralized Non-linear Model Predictive Control of a Redundantly Actuated Parallel Manipulator
2012In this paper a centralized non-linear model predictive control (NMPC) for redundantly actuated Parallel Kinematic Machines (PKM) is proposed. The controller has the structure of an augmented PD controller with variable gains. These gains are intended to minimize the future tracking error. With this approach the computation error is kept low.

Non-linear model predictive formation control for groups of autonomous surface vessels
International Journal of Control, 2007Designing non-linear model predictive control (NMPC) laws for controlling multiple autonomous surface vessels in arbitrary formations in environments containing obstacles are reported in this paper. Two leader-follower decentralized geometrical control schemes that are required for defining a unique two-dimensional formation are considered.
