Assessing the Operational Safety of New Energy Truck Platoons Under Information Uncertainty and Longitudinal Slope

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Autonomous truck platooning represents a transformative advancement in modern highway logistics, offering substantial benefits in fuel efficiency and traffic throughput. However, the practical deployment of such systems is frequently compromised by sensing limitations and environmental factors, particularly localization uncertainty and varying ...

Count and Teletraffic Analysis of G/M/1 Queueing Systems With Log-Normal Interarrival Time of Bursty IoT Traffic

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this paper, both performance analysis of finite and infinite buffer G/M/1 queueing systems and count analysis using Log-Normally distributed interarrival times to model highly variable Internet of Things (IoT) traffic are addressed. These mathematical

Rare event simulation for non-Markovian tandem queues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The main focus of this thesis is rare event simulation for non-Markovian tandem queues with i.i.d. arrival process and light-tailed service processes that are independent of each other. We are interested in developing simulation schemes in order to estimate the probability that the total number of customers reaches some high number during a busy cycle ...

A Batch Arrival Non-Markovian Queue with Three Types of Service

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Applications, 2013
this paper, a batch arrival non- Markovian queueing model with three types of service is considered. The customers arrive in batches of variable size. Here a single server provides three types of service ,type 1 with probability , type 2 with probability and type 3 with probability . The service times follows general distribution .

A Pincherle‐Type Convergence Theorem for Generalized Continued Fractions in Banach Algebras

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This contribution is dedicated to the interdependence of higher order linear difference equations and generalized continued fractions in Banach algebras. It turns out that the computation of certain subdominant solutions of a higher order linear difference equation can be done more efficiently by considering its adjoint equation.

Construction and Optimization of a Cost Function in a Single‐Server Multiphase Queueing System With Hypoexponential‐k Customer Service Time

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this paper, a new generalized cost function construction for a single‐server multiphase queueing system with a Poisson input stream, hypoexponential‐k customer service time, and FIFO discipline is presented. A proposed relationship between service parameters in k phases is based on a geometric progression with rate α, 0 < α < 1.

Quantum dynamics in a tiered non-Markovian environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We introduce a new analytical method for studying the open quantum systems problem of a discrete system weakly coupled to an environment of harmonic oscillators.

Analytic Approach to the Non-Preemptive Markovian Priority Queue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Explicit and exact results are obtained for the joint queue-length distribution for the two-level non-preemptive Markovian priority queue. Marginal distributions are derived for the general multi-level problem.

A Comparative Latency Analysis of Priority‐Based MAC Protocols for Fog‐to‐Cloud Communication in Heterogeneous IoT Environments

open access: yesJournal of Computer Networks and Communications, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Fog Radio Access Networks (RANs) impose stringent latency requirements in heterogeneous networks. Addressing latency at the MAC layer based on traffic priority stands out as a crucial strategy in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment. Common techniques include data compression, analyzing the correlation between data values, node distance ...

Queue lengths and waiting times in the two-class two-server queue with nonpreemptive heterogeneous priority structures. [PDF]

open access: yes
Our aim is to analyze a multiserver queue with nonpreemptive heterogeneous priority structures, which arises in the performance evaluation of batch initiator settings n MVS.
