Sparse General Non-Negative Matrix Factorization Based on Left Semi-Tensor Product

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The dimension reduction of large scale high-dimensional data is a challenging task, especially the dimension reduction of face data and the accuracy increment of face recognition in the large scale face recognition system, which may cause large storage ...

Non-negative Tensor Factorization Based on Alternating Large-scale Non-negativity-constrained Least Squares [PDF]

open access: yes2007 IEEE 7th International Symposium on BioInformatics and BioEngineering, 2007
Non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) and non-negative tensor factorization (NTF) have attracted much attention and have been successfully applied to numerous data analysis problems where the elements of the data are necessarily non-negative such as chemical concentrations, spectrometry signal intensities, and digital image pixels.

Application of Non-Negative Tensor Factorization for Airport Flight Delay Pattern Recognition

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
With the rapid development of civil aviation transportation in China, huge demand growth has broken the balance between supply and demand, resulting in airspace congestion and increasing flight delays.

The relationship between motor pathway damage and flexion-extension patterns of muscle co-excitation during walking

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2022
BackgroundMass flexion-extension co-excitation patterns during walking are often seen as a consequence of stroke, but there is limited understanding of the specific contributions of different descending motor pathways toward their control.

Mode of Neonatal Delivery Influences the Nutrient Composition of Human Milk: Results From a Multicenter European Cohort of Lactating Women

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition, 2022
BackgroundThe effect of the mode of neonatal delivery (cesarean or vaginal) on the nutrient composition of human milk (HM) has rarely been studied. Given the increasing prevalence of cesarean section (C-section) globally, understanding the impact of C ...

A non-negative tensor factorization model for selectional preference induction [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Language Engineering, 2009
AbstractThe distributional similarity methods have proven to be a valuable tool for the induction of semantic similarity. Until now, most algorithms use two-way co-occurrence data to compute the meaning of words. Co-occurrence frequencies, however, need not be pairwise.

Non-parallel dictionary learning for voice conversion using non-negative Tucker decomposition

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Audio, Speech, and Music Processing, 2019
Voice conversion (VC) is a technique of exclusively converting speaker-specific information in the source speech while preserving the associated phonemic information.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
