Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) for Underwater Acoustic Communication [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the application of the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technique for multiuser underwater acoustic (UWA) communication. The NOMA scheme can be implemented using either orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) or filterbank multicarrier (FBMC) modulation for waveform shaping.

Resource Allocation in Downlink Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) for Future Radio Access [PDF]
This paper investigates a new strategy for radio resource allocation applying a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme. It calls for the cohabitation of users in the power domain at the transmitter side and for successive interference canceller (SIC) at the receiver side.

Asynchronous uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with cyclic prefix
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been recognized as a promising technique for future radio access. In this paper, different from [3], it is proposed that the cyclic prefix (CP) is used in the asynchronous uplink NOMA transmission for mitigating asynchronous effects. Through analyzing the inter-user interference (IUI) and residual interference,

Impact of Mutual Coupling on Power-Domain Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) [PDF]
This paper investigates the impact of mutual coupling (MC) on the achievable sum-rate of power-domain non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) transmissions. We assume a single-antenna user NOMA system with directional beamforming in the millimeter wave (mmW) channel.

Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) for 5G Networks
In this chapter, we explore the concept of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme for the future radio access for 5G. We first provide the fundamentals of the technique for both downlink and uplink channels and then discuss optimizing the network ...

On the performance of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) using FPGA
In this paper, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is designed and implemented for the fifth generation (5G) of multi-user wireless communication. Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is considered for the implementation of this technique for two users.

Cooperative Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in 5G Systems
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has recently received considerable attention as a promising candidate for 5G systems. A key feature of NOMA is that users with better channel conditions have prior information about the messages of the other users ...

Partial-Beam Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (PB-NOMA) With Fuzzy Clustering
This letter proposes a partial-beam non-orthogonal multiple access (PB-NOMA) system for millimeter wave (mmWave) channels. In the proposed system, the user terminals (UT)s partially belong to different user groups and power-domain partial NOMA (P-NOMA) technique is exploited in their allocated spectrum.

On Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) in 5G Systems
The non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is one of the fledging paradigms which next generation radio access technologies are sprouting toward. The NOMA with superposition coding (SC) in the transmitter and successive interference cancellation (SIC) at the receiver comes with many desirable features and benefits over orthogonal multiple access (OMA ...
