Weyl geometric gravity black holes in light of the Solar System tests

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Weyl geometric gravity theory, in which gravitational action is constructed from the square of the Weyl curvature scalar and the strength of the Weyl vector, has been intensively investigated recently.

Architecture‐Driven Sensor Stability in Weft‐Knitted Engineering Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Textile‐integrated sensor architectures are systematically compared to evaluate their electromechanical behavior under combined mechanical and environmental loading. Pocket‐based integration exhibits stable and reproducible signals, whereas tunnel‐based routing shows higher sensitivity accompanied by increased variability.

Non global solutions for non-radial inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrodinger equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations
This work concerns the inhomogeneous Schr\"odinger equation  $$  \mathrm{i}\partial_t u-\mathcal{K}_{s,\lambda}u +F(x,u)=0 , \quad   u(t,x):\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{R}^N\to\mathbb{C}.  $$ Here, \(s\in\{1,2\}\), \(N>2s\) and \(\lambda>-(N-2)^2/4\).  The linear Schr\"odinger operator is \(\mathcal{K}_{s,\lambda}:= (-\Delta)^s +(2-s)\frac{\lambda}{|x|

Inverse Analytical Formula for the Correction of Severe Barrel Lens Distortion Modelled by a Depressed Radial Distortion Polynomial

open access: yesSensors
Accurate correction of radial lens distortion is a fundamental requirement in computer vision and photogrammetry, as geometric inaccuracies directly affect 3D reconstruction, mapping, and geospatial measurements, particularly in high-precision imaging ...

Discrepancies Between Micro Versus Macroscale Viscoelastic Properties in a Microplastic‐Tissue Composite Model

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the discrepancies between bulk mechanics and spatial mapping in a tissue‐mimetic hydrogel model. Microplastic particles create localized stiff mechanical microenvironments that are detectable by cellular‐scale nanoindentation but leave bulk properties unchanged as measured by rheology.

Exterior scattering of non-radial solutions to energy subcritical wave equations

open access: yes, 2020
We consider the defocusing, energy subcritical wave equation $\partial_t^2 u - Δu = -|u|^{p-1} u$ in dimension $d \in \{3,4,5\}$ and prove the exterior scattering of solutions if $3\leq d \leq 5$ and $1+6/dt+R} |\nabla_{x,t} u(x,t)- \nabla_{x,t} u_L(x,t)|^2 dx = 0 \] for any fixed real number $R$.

Controlling Grain Growth in Powder Bed Fusion of Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia Using Femtosecond Lasers: Challenges and Methodological Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Binder‐free laser powder bed fusion of 8YSZ with a femtosecond laser is used to map process windows linking scan strategy, heat accumulation, and grain growth. Time‐resolved thermography and simulations reveal thermal regimes that enable continuous, vitrified, and fine‐grained 8YSZ surface layers without absorptive additives and demonstrate ...

Formation of condensations for non-radial solutions to 3-wave kinetic equations

open access: yes
We consider in this work a $2$-dimensional $3$-wave kinetic equation describing the dynamics of the thermal cloud outside a Bose-Einstein Condensate. We construct global non-radial mild solutions for the equation. Those mild solutions are the summation of Dirac masses on circles.

Simulation‐Based Analysis of Insert Pull‐Out in Nickel‐Polyurethane Hybrid Foams Using CT‐Derived Geometries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
CT‐based finite element simulations combined with in situ X‐ray computed tomography are used to analyze insert pull‐out in nickel‐coated polymer foams. Despite variations in material parameters, deformation consistently concentrates within a narrow annular region around the insert.
