Experience With Performing Rheocarna Therapy via the Single‐Needle Method for Treatment of Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the safety and efficacy of single‐needle Rheocarna therapy for chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) with wounds. Methods Six patients with CLTI involving ulcers unresponsive to revascularization underwent single‐needle Rheocarna treatment.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Non global solutions for non-radial coupled inhomogeneous non-linear Schrödinger systems

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
We establish finite-time blow-up of energy solutions to an inhomogeneous nonlinear coupled Schrödinger system under suitable conditions. The novelty of our approach lies in allowing non-radial initial data and removing the assumption of finite variance ...

Infinite solutions having a prescribed number of nodes for a Schrödinger problem

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2017
In this paper, we are concerned with the multiplicity of solutions for a Schrödinger problem. A weaker super-quadratic assumption is required for the nonlinearity.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Analytical study of gallium halides for Pὅschl-Teller potential modell

open access: yesChemical Physics Impact, 2022
The solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation were obtained for a Pὅschl-Teller potential model using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The non-relativistic energy and its corresponding un-normalized radial wave function for the interacting ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

The role of density inhomogeneity and anisotropy in the final outcome of dissipative collapse

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
In this work, we employ the “horizon” function introduced by Ivanov (Int J Mod Phys D 25:1650049, 2016b) to study radiating stellar models with a generalized Vaidya exterior.

Non-radial ground state solutions for fractional Schrödinger–Poisson systems in R2

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract Note: Please see pdf for full abstract with equations. In this paper, we study the fractional Schrödinger–Poisson system with general nonlinearity as follows: (−∆)su + u + l(x)φu = ƒ(u) in R2, (−∆)tφ = l(x)u2 in R2, where 1/2 < t ≤ s < 1, the potential l ∈ C(R2, R+) and the nonlinearity ƒ ∈ C(R, R) does not ...
