LINEARIZABILITY OF AUTOMORPHISMS OF NON-SPHERICAL SURFACES
Mathematics of the USSR-Izvestiya, 1983In this paper local automorphisms of real analytic hypersurfaces in complex spaces are studied. It is proved that for a strictly pseudoconvex hypersurface not biholomorphically equivalent to a sphere every local automorphism is a linear mapping in special coordinates.

Sphericities of non-spherical objects
Particuology, 2012Abstract Sphericity, as one of the most important shape parameter for non-spherical objects, is extensively applied in evaluating the porosity or packing density of particles. In this paper, the sphericities of common non-spherical objects are deduced and investigated. Maximum sphericities and optimum shapes of these objects are presented as well.

Bar dissolution in non-spherical halos
Astrophysics and Space Science, 2003Dynamical evolution of N-body bars embedded in spherical and prolate dark matter halos is investigated. In particular, the configuration such that galactic disks are placed in the plane perpendicular to the equatorial plane of the prolate halos is considered. Such a configuration is frequently found in cosmological simulations. N-body disks embedded in

Vibrations of non-spherical nuclei
Nuclear Physics, 1963Abstract The vibrational levels of non-spherical nuclei are studied by a semi-classical method analogous to the cranking model for rotation. The method of Green's one-particle functions is used to describe the superfluidity of nuclei. A dispersion equation is obtained for determining the eigenvalues of frequencies of the proper vibrations of the mass

Mixing study of non-spherical particles using DEM
Powder Technology, 2019In the last decade, granular flows have been studied extensively using DEM simulations. But only a little work has been done using non-spherical or real-shape particles even in the latest publications using powerful simulation tools making such study a ...

T-matrix formulation of electromagnetic wave scattering by charged non-spherical scatterers
, 2020In this paper, a method is proposed to solve the scattering of electromagnetic waves (EMWs) by a uniformly charged non-spherical scatterer. Based on Waterman's extended boundary method, a transition matrix between coefficient of the scattering field and ...

Are Lyman clouds non-spherical?
Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 1987On propose un modele pour les nuages responsables de l'absorption Lyman α en direction des quasars lointains; les nuages sont spheroidaux et non ...
