Coarsening of non-spherical particles
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1989Abstract In this paper we analyze the coarsening of a diffuse collection of non-spherical particles. The only restriction on the particles' shapes is that each one remains in its original “shape class”. Linearized Gibbs-Thomson boundary conditions are used, and it is assumed that the particles coarsen through a quasi-static process.

On the Dynamics of Non-Spherical Bubbles
1980To-day one of the most challenging questions that the theoretical modelling of the behavior of bubbles in liquids must face is that of the dynamics of non-spherical bubbles. Indeed, while the study of situations endowed with spherical symmetry has reached a high degree of sophistication (see[1,2] for recent reviews), we may say that, on both absolute ...

Attraction by non-spherical bodies
1995Abstract As Newton stated in his concluding Scholium of Proposition LXXXIV, his next concern was the attraction by non-spherical bodies; but ‘to treat them particularly was not his design’. Even so, Propositions LXXXVII and Corollaries II and III of Proposition XCI stand out.
