Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Pediatric Oncology Nursing Competencies in Latin America and the Caribbean: A Scoping Review to Inform Practice, Education, and Research

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Nurses are central to cancer care for children and adolescents, yet no comprehensive synthesis has defined essential core competencies for pediatric oncology nursing (PON) practice internationally, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Non-spherical collapse of a two fluid star

open access: yes, 2006
We obtain the analogue of collapsing Vaidya-like solution to include both a null fluid and a string fluid, with a linear equation of state ($p_{\bot} = k \rho$), in non-spherical (plane symmetric and cylindrically symmetric) anti-de Sitter space-timess ...

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

Are strange baryons non-spherical?

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1986
Abstract We calculate the distribution of baryon number for the ground state hyperons. Strange baryons are described as bound kaon—skyrmion systems. A striking consequence of the model is the non-sphericity of baryonic density for strange baryons.

Non-spherical radiation-driven wind models [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1999
AbstractThe present state of modelling radiatively driven stellar winds from rapidly rotating stars is reviewed. Various processes affecting the actual, still controversial wind structure are highlighted, in particular non-radial line-forces and gravity darkening, and useful scaling relations are provided.

Germline TP53 Mutations Causing Diamond–Blackfan Anemia: A French Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diamond–Blackfan anemia is a rare congenital erythroblastopenia typically caused by mutations in ribosomal protein genes. Recently, gain‐of‐function mutations in TP53 have been identified as a novel cause of Diamond–Blackfan anemia. We report two French patients who both harbored a heterozygous TP53 deletion (NM_000546.5: c.1077delA; p ...

Non-Spherical Cavitation Bubbles: A Review

open access: yesFluids
Cavitation is a phase-change phenomenon from the liquid to the gas phase due to an increased flow velocity. As it causes severe erosion and noise, it is harmful to hydraulic machinery such as pumps, valves, and screw propellers.

Polarimetry of Li-rich giants

open access: yes, 2005
Protoplanetary nebulae typically present non-spherical envelopes. The origin of such geometry is still controversial. There are indications that it may be carried over from an earlier phase of stellar evolution, such as the AGB phase.

Greatly Enhanced Merger Rates of Compact-object Binaries in Non-spherical Nuclear Star Clusters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The Milky Way and a significant fraction of galaxies are observed to host a central massive black hole (MBH) embedded in a non-spherical nuclear star cluster.
