Rule-Based Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring Using Steady-State Current Waveform Features
Monitoring electricity energy usage can help to reduce power consumption considerably. Among load monitoring techniques, non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) provides a cost-efficient solution to identify individual load consumption details from the ...

The paper presents an analytical description of the growth of a two-component bubble in a binary liquid-gas solution. We obtain asymptotic self-similar time dependence of the bubble radius and analytical expressions for the non-steady profiles of ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Dynamics in an OLG model with non-separable preferences [PDF]
This paper presents sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of a steady state equilibrium in an OLG model with non separable preferences and analyzes the implications of such assumption for the local stability of the steady state ...

Relaxation time in a non-conserving driven-diffusive system with parallel dynamics
We introduce a two-state non-conserving driven-diffusive system in one-dimension under a discrete-time updating scheme. We show that the steady-state of the system can be obtained using a matrix product approach.

Luttinger Liquid in Non-equilibrium Steady State [PDF]
We propose and investigate an exactly solvable model of non-equilibrium Luttinger liquid on a star graph, modeling a multi-terminal quantum wire junction.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Non-equilibrium steady state in the hydro regime
We study the existence and properties of the non-equilibrium steady state which arises by putting two copies of systems at different temperatures into a thermal contact.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...
