Non-thermal plasma treatment of textiles

Surface and Coatings Technology, 2008
This article attempts to give an overview of the literature on the treatment of textiles with non-thermal plasmas. Because of the enormous amount of potential uses of non-thermal plasmas for the modification of textile products, categorizing the applications is difficult, and therefore a review is given on plasma treatment effects or results rather ...

Non-thermal plasma for catalyst regeneration: A review

Catalysis Today, 2023
International audience ; An alternative technology to the thermal regeneration of coked catalysts is non-thermal plasma (NTP). The main advantage of plasma is that it allows activation of the molecules at low temperature and atmospheric pressure. The species formed under oxygen plasma are able to oxidize coke from various catalysts: zeolite, metal ...

Immunomodulation by non-thermal plasma

2022
Immunological control of disseminated viral infections and cancers of the hematopoietic system can be achieved through robust CD8+ T cell responses. However, immune dysfunctions in patients with these conditions can lead to control failures and disease chronicity.

On the relaxation of non-thermal plasmas

Journal of Plasma Physics, 1992
The collisional relaxation of various plasma distributions that are initially far removed from thermal equilibrium is investigated numerically using a Fokker–Planck code. It is shown that self-similar and kappa distributions do not remain self-similar or kappa, and that this is due to the velocity dependence of the effective collision frequency.

Non-thermal plasma for inactivated-vaccine preparation

Vaccine, 2016
Vaccines are of great importance in controlling the spread of infectious diseases in poultry farming. The safety and efficacy of vaccines are also essential. To explore the feasibility of a novel technology (non-thermal plasma) in inactivated vaccine preparation, an alternating current atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasma (NTP) jet with Ar/O2/N2 as ...
