Study the Effect of Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) Plasma on the Decomposition of Volatile Organic Compounds

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2022
Recently, research has focused on non-thermal plasma (NTP) technologies as a way to remove volatile organic compounds from the air stream, due to its distinctive qualities, which include a quick reaction at room temperature. In this work, the properties

Multi-frequency constraints on the non-thermal pressure in galaxy clusters

open access: yes, 2013
The origin of radio halos in galaxy clusters is still unknown and is the subject of a vibrant debate both from the observational and theoretical point of view. In particular the amount and the nature of non-thermal plasma and of the magnetic field energy

Suzaku Observation of the RCW86 Northeastern Shell

open access: yes, 2009
This paper reports the Suzaku results on the northeast shell of RCW 86. With the spatial and spectral analysis, we separated the X-rays into three distinct components; low (kT_e~0.3keV) and high (kT_e~1.8keV) temperature plasmas and a non-thermal ...

Reduction of NOx and PM in Marine Diesel Engine Exhaust Gas using Microwave Plasma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Abatement of NOx and particulate matters (PM) of marine diesel exhaust gas using microwave (MW) non-thermal plasma is presented in this paper. NOx mainly consist of NO and less concentration of NO2 in a typical two stoke marine diesel engine and ...

Chandra ACIS Survey of M33 (ChASeM33): The enigmatic X-ray emission from IC131

open access: yes, 2009
We present the first X-ray analysis of the diffuse hot ionized gas and the point sources in IC131, after NGC604 the second most X-ray luminous giant HII region in M33. The X-ray emission is detected only in the south eastern part of IC131 (named IC131-se)

Wound healing in db/db mice with type 2 diabetes using non-contact exposure with an argon non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma jet device

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2022
A non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) may stimulate cells and tissues or result in cell death depending on the intensity of plasma at the target; therefore, we herein investigated the effects of non-thermal plasma under non-contact ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Research Progress in the Application of Cold Plasma Sterilization Technology in Dairy Products [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
Cold plasma (or non-thermal plasma) is one of the popular non-thermal processing technologies in recent years. Cold plasma technology is expected to be used as a rapid non-thermal sterilization technology in dairy processing. However, an unoptimized cold
