Patching Non-Uniform Extraordinary Points
IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer GraphicsSmooth surfaces from an arbitrary topological control grid have been widely studied, which are mostly generalized from splines with uniform knot intervals. These methods fail to work well on extraordinary points (EPs) whose edges have varying knot intervals.

Ultrasonic backscattering from non-uniform scatterers
Ultrasonic Imaging, 1982For random arrays of cylindrical scatterers a model of ultrasonic backscattering is described which includes first order multiple scattering effects. Velocity and attenuation are not constant in the scattering array; different values as well as small fluctuations from one scatterer to another are considered.

Non-uniform Instruction Scheduling
2005Dynamic instruction scheduling logic is one of the most critical and cycle-limiting structures in modern superscalar processors, and it is not easily pipelined without significant losses in performance. However, these performance losses are incurred only due to a small fraction of instructions, which are intolerant to the non-atomic scheduling.

Abstract In most wind-tunnels and water channels a uniform low-turbulence free stream is produced in order to obtain reliable measurements. Such a uniform free stream, however, is not at all common in many engineering applications. For example, the wind is an atmospheric boundary layer and has ashear velocity profile.
