In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

On the existence of a priori bounds for positive solutions of elliptic problems, I
This paper gives a survey over the existence of uniform L∞ a priori bounds for positive solutions of subcritical elliptic equations (P)p -\Delta_p u =f(u), in \Omega, u = 0, on \partial\Omega widening the known ranges of subcritical ...

Non-uniform Bound on Normal Approximation of Latin Hypercube Sampling
Loh (Loh, W.L, 1996b) established a Berry-Esseen type bound for $W$, the random variable based on a latin hypercube sampling, to the standard normal distribution. He used an inductive approach of Stein's method to give the rate of convergence $\frac{C_d}{\sqrt{n}}$ without the value of $C_d.$ In this article, we use a concentration inequality approach ...

α-Mean curvature flow of non-compact complete convex hypersurfaces and the evolution of level sets
We consider the α\alpha -mean curvature flow for convex graphs in Euclidean space. Given a smooth, complete, strictly convex, non-compact initial hypersurface over a strictly convex projected domain, we derive uniform curvature bounds, which are ...

Immune‐Driven Expression in Inclusion Body Myositis With T‐Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia
ABSTRACT Objectives T‐cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia (T‐LGLL), reported in up to 58% of inclusion body myositis (IBM) patients, is a rare leukemia of cytotoxic or less commonly helper T cells. The range of myopathies in T‐LGLL and the impact of coexisting T‐LGLL in IBM are not well understood. Our objectives are to investigate the spectrum of

Numerical solution for laminar unsteady flow about fixed and oscillating cylinders
This paper presents a finite-difference solution of the two-dimensional, time dependent incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for laminar flow about fixed and oscillating cylinders placed in an otherwise uniform flow. Using boundary fitted coordinates,
