The DC Bias Voltage Effect and Non-Linear Dielectric Properties of Titanate Nanotubes

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2015
This work reports the nonlinear current-voltage behavior and the effects of dc bias voltage on the dielectric and electrical properties of titanate nanotubes (TNTs) prepared by hydrothermal method at 130 degrees C for 24 h. The TNTs sample exhibited high dielectric constant of > 10(4) at 100 Hz at room temperature with slight dependence on frequency in

Measurement of non-linear dielectric properties - theoretical analysis

IEEE 1997 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2002
The non-linear characteristics of ZnO materials were measured under both DC and pulsed conditions as a model for the development of methods to measure electric field and temperature dependent dielectric properties of dielectric materials. The parameters calculated from the results of DC and pulse tests show good agreement with data published elsewhere.

Non-linear dielectric properties of Rhodobacter capsulatus

Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics, 1992
Abstract A four-terminal non-linear dielectric spectrometer was constructed and used to demonstrate that the purple photosynthetic bacterium Rhodobacter capsulatus is able to transduce the energy from a sinusoidally modulated electrical field so as to produce harmonics.

Non-linear dielectric properties of biological materials

Conference on Electrical Insulation & Dielectric Phenomena - Annual Report 1978, 1978
It is proposed to report on the progress made since my 1974 Whitehead Memorial Lecture on the extraordinary dielectric properties of biological materials. It will be remembered that from very general considerations it can be concluded that large polarizable molecules are expected to possess metastable states with very high electric dipole moment.

Non-linear dielectric properties of nerve membranes

Biophysical Chemistry, 1980
The unique feature of the measurements of membrane capacitance and conductance of nerve axons is the facts that these measurements must be carried out in the presence of a bias potential (-60 mV) across the membrane and also that measurements are performed in the presence of time dependent and non-linear currents.

Non linear dielectric properties of microbiological suspensions at electrode-electrolyte interfaces

2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005
Nonlinear properties of biological suspensions have been previously presented as a bulk phenomenon, however, some authors consider that they are generated at the electrode-electrolyte interface and are reflected as a bulk property phenomenon. They were mainly ascribed to the H+-ATPase present in the plasma membrane of these cells.

NON-LINEAR DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF ALUMINIUM/MONOMOLECULAR LAYERS OF CALCIUM BEHENATE/ALUMINIUM STRUCTURES

Thin Solid Films, 1980
Abstract We studied the non-linear dielectric properties of aluminium/monomolecular layers of calcium behenate/aluminium structures at high electric induction ( D > 10 −3 C m −2 ). These properties generally arise from the motion of electric charges that are trapped in both the alumina at the surface of the electrodes and in the monolayers and ...

THE FREQUENCY DEPENDENCE AND NON-LINEAR DIELECTRIC PROPERTY OF ER FLUID

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics B, 1996
The frequency dependence of the shear stress in ac field and the non-linear dielectric property of ER fluid have been studied. We find that the shear stresses of some water-free ER fluids increase monotonously with the frequency and tend to reach saturated values at high frequency.

Non-linear dielectric properties of metal–amorphous-tantalum pentoxide–metal structures

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 2002
High dielectric constant (high K) materials are becoming important due to their potential applications in embedded dynamic random access memory and radio frequency capacitors. Among high K materials that can replace silicon dioxide for these applications, tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) is the candidate of choice since it is already available in the ...
