Nonadditive statistical measure of complexity and values of the entropic index q

open access: yes, 2004
A two-parameter family of statistical measures of complexity are introduced based on the Tsallis-type nonadditive entropies. This provides a unified framework for the study of the recently proposed various measures of complexity as well as for the discussion of a whole new class of measures.

Genetic variability, association, and path coefficient analysis for yield and yield‐related traits of quality protein maize genotypes

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Maize (Zea mays L.) is among the most importantcereal crops worldwide, serving as a major source of food, feed, and industrial raw material. Estimation of genetic parameters, trait associations, and the direct and indirect contributions of agronomic traits to grain yield is fundamental for effective quality protein maize improvement.

Characterization of Nonadditive Measures of Average Charge of order \(\alpha\) and their Bounds

open access: yesJournal of Modern Methods in Numerical Mathematics, 2012
A simple non-additive model based on \(\alpha\) -non-additivity is considered. We characterize average charge for heterogeneous questionnaires under \(\alpha\) -non-additivity and show that there are only two forms of the measure of charge for one parameter. Limiting and particular cases cover those studied earlier.

Genetic variability and associations among yield and yield‐related traits in Ethiopian linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) landraces

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) is a key oilseed crop in Ethiopia's central highlands. However, its productivity is constrained by the limited availability of high‐yielding varieties, highlighting the importance of investigating genetic variability and trait associations among local landraces.

The progressive modernization of cassava breeding programs at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture and future prospects

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Modernizing cassava breeding programs (CBPs) is critical to increase genetic gain, close the yield gap, and ensure food availability, accessibility, and affordability to support livelihood transformation and economic development in sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA).

Subset‐Row Inequalities and Unreachability in Path‐Based Formulations for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling Problems

open access: yesNetworks, Volume 87, Issue 2, Page 111-130, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This work considers branch‐price‐and‐cut algorithms for variants of the vehicle‐routing problem in which subset‐row inequalities (SRIs) are used to strengthen the linear relaxation. SRIs often help to substantially reduce the size of the branch‐and‐bound search tree.

Generalized algebra within a nonextensive statistics

open access: yes, 2003
By considering generalized logarithm and exponential functions used in nonextensive statistics, the four usual algebraic operators : addition, subtraction, product and division, are generalized.

On Some Functional Equations from Additive and Nonadditive Measures - II [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 1980
It is known that while the Shannon and the Rényi entropies are additive, the measure entropy of degree β proposed by Havrda and Charvat (7) is non-additive. Ever since Chaundy and McLeod (4) considered the following functional equationwhich arose in statistical thermodynamics, (1.1) has been extensively studied (1, 5, 6, 8).

Correlation between sleep problems and morning serum melatonin and ferritin levels in Japanese 5‐year‐old children with autism spectrum disorder

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences Reports, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Aim Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are more likely to have sleep problems. Few studies have investigated the relationship between sleep problems and blood melatonin and ferritin levels. The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between sleep problems and morning serum melatonin and ferritin levels, and the ...
