Structural themes of cereblon‐recruiting degraders: selected recent examples

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section F, EarlyView.
Structural studies of cereblon‐recruiting degrader complexes have transformed our understanding of targeted protein degradation. This review discusses selected examples of how X‐ray crystallography and cryogenic‐electron microscopy have enabled the structure‐guided optimization of heterobifunctional degraders and molecular‐glue degraders.

Russian wheat aphid: a model for genomic plasticity and a challenge to breeders

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Invasive foundress finds suitable habitat and reproduces through pathogenesis. Wingless females produce life offspring quickly, which leads to high population densities. High population densities result in competition, which may induce epigenetic changes and wing development for dispersal.

Full‐length transcriptome profiling of true bug mitochondrial genomes reveals the unique transcriptional regulation during insect evolution

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
The mitogenome was transcribed into complete primary polycistrons on both strands. The heteropteran mitochondrial transcription termination factor (HmTTF) functions as a bidirectional attenuator rather than a terminator, and co‐evolution of HmTTF and the binding sites was observed.

Compartmentalisation in cAMP signalling: A phase separation perspective

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Cells rely on precise spatiotemporal control of signalling pathways to ensure functional specificity. The compartmentalisation of cyclic AMP (cAMP) and protein kinase A (PKA) signalling enables distinct cellular responses within a crowded cytoplasmic space.

Distinct Clinicogenomic Contexts of BRAF‐Altered Gliomas and Glioneuronal Tumors: A Nationwide Real‐World Study

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Nationwide real‐world profiling revealed distinct clinicogenomic contexts across major BRAF alteration classes in gliomas and glioneuronal tumors. KIAA1549::BRAF fusion was associated with younger age and predominantly low‐grade tumors, whereas BRAF amplification‐only tumors were predominantly high‐grade and showed frequent MET amplification.
