Quantum gravity, field theory and signatures of noncommutative spacetime [PDF]

open access: yesGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 2009
A pedagogical introduction to some of the main ideas and results of field theories on quantized spacetimes is presented, with emphasis on what such field theories may teach us about the problem of quantizing gravity. We examine to what extent noncommutative gauge theories may be regarded as gauge theories of gravity. UV/IR mixing is explained in detail

Compressibility Function and Speed of Sound in the Non‐Commutative Quantum Hadrodynamics Type‐I Model for Neutron Stars

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the effects of a minimal measurable length on neutron stars, within the quantum hadrodynamics (QHD‐I) model modified by the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP). Working in a deformed Poisson algebra framework, we incorporate GUP effects via a time‐invariant transformation of the phase space volume, effectively reducing the ...

Lorentz-breaking weighted measures as quantum field theory regulators

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2022
In this work we develop a re-formulation of quantum field theory through the more general weighted measures that the definition of quantum fields allows, and that violate explicitly the Lorentz symmetry; this approach provides finite answers for the long-

Unification of Conformal and Fuzzy Gravities With Internal Interactions Resulting in SO(10) and a Possible Probe Through Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, EarlyView.
Abstract The unification of conformal and fuzzy gravities with internal interactions is based on the facts that i) the tangent group of a curved manifold and the manifold itself do not necessarily have the same dimensions and ii) both gravitational theories considered here have been formulated in a gauge theoretic way.

Twists of twisted generalized Weyl algebras

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We study graded twisted tensor products and graded twists of twisted generalized Weyl algebras (TGWAs). We show that the class of TGWAs is closed under these operations assuming mild hypotheses. We generalize a result on cocycle equivalence among multiparameter quantized Weyl algebras to the setting of TGWAs.

Local covariant quantum field theory over spectral geometries

open access: yes, 2004
A framework which combines ideas from Connes' noncommutative geometry, or spectral geometry, with recent ideas on generally covariant quantum field theory, is proposed in the present work.

Symmetry, Gravity and Noncommutativity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We review some aspects of the implementation of spacetime symmetries in noncommutative field theories, emphasizing their origin in string theory and how they may be used to construct theories of gravitation. The geometry of canonical noncommutative gauge

Toroidal orbifolds of Z3 and Z6 symmetries of noncommutative tori

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
The Hexic transform ρ of the noncommutative 2-torus Aθ is the canonical order 6 automorphism defined by ρ(U)=V, ρ(V)=e−πiθU−1V, where U, V are the canonical unitary generators obeying the unitary Heisenberg commutation relation VU=e2πiθUV.

Orbifold Kodaira–Spencer maps and closed‐string mirror symmetry for punctured Riemann surfaces

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 5, May 2025.
Abstract When a Weinstein manifold admits an action of a finite abelian group, we propose its mirror construction following the equivariant 2D TQFT‐type construction, and obtain as a mirror the orbifolding of the mirror of the quotient with respect to the induced dual group action. As an application, we construct an orbifold Landau–Ginzburg mirror of a

Quantum aspects of the Seiberg–Witten map in noncommutative Chern–Simons theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Noncommutative Chern–Simons theory can be classically mapped to commutative Chern–Simons theory by the Seiberg–Witten map. We provide evidence that the equivalence persists at the quantum level by computing two and three-point functions of field ...
