Twisted conjugacy in soluble arithmetic groups
Abstract Reidemeister numbers of group automorphisms encode the number of twisted conjugacy classes of groups and might yield information about self‐maps of spaces related to the given objects. Here, we address a question posed by Gonçalves and Wong in the mid‐2000s: we construct an infinite series of compact connected solvmanifolds (that are not ...

Cyclic Codes over a Non-Commutative Non-Unital Ring
In this paper, we investigate cyclic codes over the ring E of order 4 and characteristic 2 defined by generators and relations as E=⟨a,b∣2a=2b=0,a2=a,b2=b,ab=a,ba=b⟩. This is the first time that cyclic codes over the ring E are studied.

Abstract Given an associative C$\mathbb {C}$‐algebra A$A$, we call A$A$ strongly rigid if for any pair of finite subgroups of its automorphism groups G,H$G, H$, such that AG≅AH$A^G\cong A^H$, then G$G$ and H$H$ must be isomorphic. In this paper, we show that a large class of filtered quantizations are strongly rigid.

A Hitchhiker's Guide to Endomorphisms and Automorphisms of Cuntz Algebras [PDF]
We present a broad selection of results on endomorphisms and automorphisms of the Cuntz algebras On that have been obtained in the last decades. A wide variety of open problems is also included.

Noncommutative localization and chain complexes I. Algebraic K- and L-theory [PDF]
The noncommutative (Cohn) localization S^{-1}R of a ring R is defined for any collection S of morphisms of f.g. projective left R-modules. We exhibit S^{-1}R as the endomorphism ring of R in an appropriate triangulated category. We use this expression to

On the Complexity of Noncommutative Polynomial Factorization
In this paper we study the complexity of factorization of polynomials in the free noncommutative ring $\mathbb{F}\langle x_1,x_2,\dots,x_n\rangle$ of polynomials over the field $\mathbb{F}$ and noncommuting variables $x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_n$.

Fully noncentral Lie ideals and invariant additive subgroups in rings
Abstract We prove conditions ensuring that a Lie ideal or an invariant additive subgroup in a ring contains all additive commutators. A crucial assumption is that the subgroup is fully noncentral, that is, its image in every quotient is noncentral. For a unital algebra over a field of characteristic ≠2$\ne 2$ where every additive commutator is a sum of

The Cohen Macaulay Property for Noncommutative Rings [PDF]
Let R be a noetherian ring which is a fifinite module over its centre\ud Z(R). This paper studies the consequences for R of the hypothesis that it is a\ud maximal Cohen Macaulay Z(R)-module. A number of new results are proved,\ud for example projectivity over regular commutative subrings and the direct sum\ud decomposition into equicodimensional rings ...

ON THE PRIME RADICAL OF A MODULE OVER A NONCOMMUTATIVE RING
Let $R$ be a ring and $M$ a left $R-$module. The radical of $M$ is the intersection of all prime submodules of $M.$ It is proved that if $R$ is a hereditary, noetherian, prime and non right artinian and $M$ a finitely generated $R-$module then the ...

Linear independence of coherent systems associated to discrete subgroups
Abstract This note considers the finite linear independence of coherent systems associated to discrete subgroups. We show by simple arguments that such coherent systems of amenable groups are linearly independent whenever the associated twisted group ring does not contain any nontrivial zero divisors.
