Noncommutative Koszul algebras from combinatorial topology [PDF]

open access: yesJournal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik (Crelles Journal), 2010
Associated to any uniform finite layered graph Gamma there is a noncommutative graded quadratic algebra A(Gamma) given by a construction due to Gelfand, Retakh, Serconek and Wilson. It is natural to ask when these algebras are Koszul. Unfortunately, a mistake in the literature states that all such algebras are Koszul.

Topological Charge of Noncommutative ADHM Instanton [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2003
We analytically calculate the topological charge of general noncommutative U (N) instantons using the Corrigan's identity and find that the result is exactly the instanton number k, which appears in the noncommutative ADHM construction as the dimension of the vector space V. This result coincides with the corresponding fact in the commutative case.

Noncommutative Topological Dynamics. II [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1984
This part deals with almost periodic and weakly mixing C ∗ {C^ \ast } -flows, and with disjointness and weak disjointness of C ∗ {C^ \ast } -flows (flows on C ∗ {C^ \ast } -algebras).

Topological charges of noncommutative soliton [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2001
The noncommutative soliton is characterized by the use of the projection operators in non-commutative space. By using the close relation with the K-theory of $C^*$-algebra, we consider the variations of projection operators along the commutative directions and identify their topological charges.

Noncommutative Solenoids and the Gromov-Hausdorff Propinquity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We prove that noncommutative solenoids are limits, in the sense of the Gromov-Hausdorff propinquity, of quantum tori. From this observation, we prove that noncommutative solenoids can be approximated by finite dimensional quantum compact metric spaces ...

TOPOLOGICAL STRINGS ON NONCOMMUTATIVE MANIFOLDS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2004
We identify a deformation of the N=2 supersymmetric sigma model on a Calabi–Yau manifold X which has the same effect on B-branes as a noncommutative deformation of X. We show that for hyperkähler X such deformations allow one to interpolate continuously between the A-model and the B-model.

Noncommutative Topological Entropy of Endomorphisms of Cuntz Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesLetters in Mathematical Physics, 2008
Noncommutative topological entropy estimates are obtained for polynomial gauge invariant endomorphisms of Cuntz algebras, generalising known results for the canonical shift endomorphisms. Exact values for the entropy are computed for a class of permutative endomorphisms related to branching function systems introduced and studied by Bratteli, Jorgensen

Noncommutative Lattices and Their Continuum Limits [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We consider finite approximations of a topological space $M$ by noncommutative lattices of points. These lattices are structure spaces of noncommutative $C^*$-algebras which in turn approximate the algebra $\cc(M)$ of continuous functions on $M$. We show

Topology at the Planck Length [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
A basic arbitrariness in the determination of the topology of a manifold at the Planck length is discussed. An explicit example is given of a `smooth' change in topology from the 2-sphere to the 2-torus through a sequence of noncommuting geometries ...
