Nondestructive Testing Potential of a Magnetoacoustic Storage Correlator (MASC)

open access: yes, 1996
A simple magnetoacoustic storage correlator (MASC) was tested as a pulse compressor in an ultrasonic nondestructive testing application. The pulse compression ratio reached was 30.

A Folded, Structure‐Integrated Bimodal Sensor Enabling Non‐Contact and Tactile Perception for Intelligent Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A foldable bimodal sensor integrates a triboelectric nanogenerator and graphene piezoresistive effect into a monolithic laser‐induced graphene film. It enables synchronous non‐contact and tactile perception, achieving a distance of 110 mm, a sensitivity of 11.2 kPa−1, and a response time of 10 ms.

Towards Accurate Thickness Recognition from Pulse Eddy Current Data Using the MRDC-BiLSE Network

open access: yesInformation
Accurate thickness recognition plays a vital role in safeguarding the structural reliability of critical assets. Pulse eddy current testing (PECT), as a non-destructive method that is both non-contact and insensitive to surface coatings, provides an ...

Nondestructive testing systems with magnetic flux leakage (MFL)

open access: yes, 2016
Paper P100, 1 S.Ferromagnetic components used in mechanical, automotive and civil engineering are mostly subject to high mechanical loads. Cracks, which may form during manufacture or in use, may lead to a complete failure of the component in the worst ...

Stress Accumulation Induced by Ion Exchange for Synchronous Modulation of Mode and Wavelength in Microlasers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a paradigm‐shifting strategy to simultaneously achieve broadband wavelength tunability and single‐mode control within a single perovskite microwire structure. Using a facile heating‐assisted solid–solid anion‐exchange strategy, we synthesized phase‐pure CsPbClxBr3‐x microwires that exhibit the widest reported continuous lasing ...

Computer methods and inverse problems in nondestructive testing and diagnostics (CM NDT-95) Proceedings

open access: yes, 1995
During the past few years it was clearly understood that the future qualitative step in the development of Non-Destructive Testing Technology will be closely connected with enhancement of its quantitative representation and computer fitting.

Nondestructive testing and evaluation of historical monuments using thermography and electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI)

open access: yes, 2022
S.28-36Two remote and nondestructive testing techniques for the study of the decay mechanisms of stone and plaster surfaces are presented. While electronic speckle pattern interferometer (ESPI) measures the 3-D-microdeformations of the surface, transient

Learning Moisture‐Induced Damage From Vision: Diffusion Models for Real‐Time Monitoring of Additive Manufacturing Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce a vision‐based real‐time monitoring system for additive manufacturing that detects subtle moisture‐induced degradation via a diffusion model‐based framework. The approach enables nondestructive assessment of moisture‐induced damage level and mechanical performance and establishes a practical route toward more intelligent, reliable, and ...
