Iterative algorithm for fixed point problems of generalized nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and solutions of a system of generalized nonlinear variational-like inclusions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
This paper is devoted to the study of a class of generalized nonexpansive mappings called generalized nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and to show that it properly includes the class of nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings.

Strong Convergence Theorems for Nonexpansive Mapping [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Systems Science and Complexity, 2007
Let \(C\) be a closed convex subset of a uniformly smooth Banach space \(E\) and \(T\) a nonexpansive selfmap of \(C\) with \(F(T) \neq \emptyset\). Given a point \(u \in C\) and an initial guess \(x_0 \in C\), the author proves the strong convergence of the iteration scheme defined by \(z_n = \gamma_nx_n + (1 - \gamma_n)Tx_n\), \(y_n = \beta_nx_n + (1

Convergence theorems for I‐nonexpansive mapping [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
We establish the weak convergence of a sequence of Mann iterates of an I‐nonexpansive map in a Banach space which satisfies Opial′s condition.

A General Dynamic Programming Approach to the Optimal Water Storage Management for Irrigation

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 1987-1997, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a dynamic programming approach targeted to solve a natural resource problem of water storage management for irrigation in an environmentally and socially sustainable way. The problem we address in our formulation, focusing on the control of water storage in tanks, is based on assumptions that are less restrictive than those

Fixed points and their approximations for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in locally convex spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1995
We construct an example that the class of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings include properly the class of nonexpansive mappings in locally convex spaces, prove a theorem on the existence of fixed points, and the convergence of the sequence of iterates

Some New Fixed Point Results in Banach Space for Enriched Contraction in Terms of Krasnoselskii Iteration

open access: yesComputational and Mathematical Methods, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this article, several new fixed point results are established by employing the Krasnoselskii iteration method for a pair of self‐mappings in Banach spaces. It explores the idea of enriched contraction, conditionally sequential absorbing mappings, and various types of continuity terms. Further, to support our main result, an example is provided which

Modified Iterative Algorithms for Nonexpansive Mappings [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, 2009
Let H be a real Hilbert space, let S, T be two nonexpansive mappings such that F(S)∩F(T) ≠ ∅, let f be a contractive mapping, and let A be a strongly positive linear bounded operator on H. In this paper, we suggest and consider the strong converegence analysis of a new two‐step iterative algorithms for finding the approximate solution of two ...

Iterative Algorithm and Δ-Convergence Theorems for Total Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings in CAT(0) Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
The main purpose of this paper is first to introduce the concept of total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and to prove a Δ-convergence theorem for finding a common fixed point of the total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and the asymptotically ...

Multivalued Nonexpansive Mappings and Opial's Condition [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1973
We give relations between a condition introduced by Z. Opial which characterizes weak limits by means of the norm in some Banach spaces and approximations of the identity, in particular for systems of projections. Finally a fixed point theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space satisfying this condition is proved; this result ...

Fixed Point Results for Coupled Large Kannan Contraction Using W‐Distance and Its Application to Integral Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In the present paper, we employ the notion of w‐distance to prove a large Kannan‐type contraction inequality in metric spaces. The notion of a coupled large Kannan contraction is introduced, and by using the Geraghty‐type control function, we derive fixed point results in metric spaces with and without partial order.
