Socket Shield Technique of an Ailing Mandibular Molar With Customized Healing Abutment: Graftless Management of the Hard and Soft Tissue Foundation Around Immediate Dental Implants

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
It is an established fact that postextraction ridge resorptive changes are inevitable and are very evident in the molar areas. Resorption in the molar sites can cause a reduction in the attached gingiva and affect the long‐term success of the osseointegrated implant.

Tip of the iceberg? Three novel TOPLESS‐interacting effectors of the gall‐inducing fungus Ustilago maydis

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 244, Issue 3, Page 949-961, November 2024.
Summary Ustilago maydis is a biotrophic pathogen causing smut disease in maize. It secretes a cocktail of effector proteins, which target different host proteins during its biotrophic stages in the host plant. One such class of proteins we identified previously is TOPLESS (TPL) and TOPLESS‐RELATED (TPR) transcriptional corepressors.

Circulating tumor DNA for monitoring classic Hodgkin lymphoma patients: Correlation with FDG‐PET/CT

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 5, Issue 1, Page 70-75, February 2024.
Abstract The value of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as a biomarker of disease activity in classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) patients has not yet been well established. By profiling primary tumors and ctDNA, we identified common variants between primary tumors and longitudinal plasma samples in most of the cases, confirming high spatial and temporal ...

Outcomes of Tamoxifen Treatment Alone in Patients With Ductal Carcinoma In Situ or Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia Who Refused Surgery

open access: yesInternational Journal of Clinical Practice, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Objective: Recent trends involving increased screening have led to broad populations being diagnosed with atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) or ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS); as a result, many patients have had to receive surgery followed by standard treatment for ADH or DCIS.
