Endothelial MLKL Inhibition Reduces Hyperoxia‐Induced Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia in Neonatal Mice

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 3, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) remains a severe complication in premature infants requiring prolonged oxygen therapy, with vascular endothelial dysfunction recognised as a critical contributor to disease progression. Mixed lineage kinase domain‐like protein (MLKL)‐mediated necroptosis, an essential form of regulated cell death implicated in ...

Comparison of Laser Doppler Flowmetry With Contrast‐Enhanced Ultrasound to Approximate Placental Microvascular Blood Flow in the African Green Monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops sabaeus)

open access: yesJournal of Medical Primatology, Volume 55, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The ability to study in vivo microvascular flow within the placenta is limited. We sought to compare two techniques for evaluation of placental perfusion in a translational nonhuman primate model. Methods We measured placental microvascular perfusion in six pregnant African green monkeys (Chlorocebus aethiops sabaeus) using both ...

Interior Decorative VOCs Elevate T Cell‐Mediated Obstructive Lung Disease Risks via Osteogenesis‐Driven Lymphoid‐Biased Hematopoiesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 4, 19 January 2026.
This study utilizes a whole‐body inhalation model to reveal that interior decorative VOCs exposure persistently elevates alveolar T cells. This increase is attributed to lymphoid‐biased hematopoiesis in the bone marrow, which is further driven by IL‐6/IL‐17A‐mediated osteogenic differentiation.

Mucoadhesive Polyvinyl Alcohol Film Containing Fridericia chica Extract for Mucositis Treatment: Pharmacological Evaluation and Active Compounds Release

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Oral mucositis is a frequent and painful complication of cancer therapy with limited effective options. This study evaluated a mucoadhesive polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film containing 2.5% Fridericia chica extract as a novel strategy. The formulation was characterized for antioxidant activity, phenolic and flavonoid content, and reactive species ...
