Two-photon absorption and stimulated emission in poly-crystalline Zinc Selenide with femtosecond laser excitation

open access: yesOpto-Electronic Advances, 2022
The optical nonlinearity in polycrystalline zinc selenide (ZnSe), excited with 775 nm, 1 kHz femtosecond laser pulses was investigated via the nonlinear transmission with material thickness and the Z scan technique.

Nonlinear photoacoustics for measuring the nonlinear optical absorption coefficient

open access: yesOptics Express, 2010
We report a novel photoacoustic Z-scan (PAZ-scan) technique that combines the advantages offered by the conventional Z-scan method and the sensitivity of the photoacoustic detection. The sample is scanned through the focused laser beam and the generated photoacoustic signal is recorded using a 10 MHz focused ultrasound transducer.

Broadband Two-Photon Absorption Characteristics of Highly Photostable Fluorenyl-Dicyanoethylenylated [60]Fullerene Dyads

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
We synthesized four C60-(light-harvesting antenna) dyads C60 (>CPAF-Cn) (n = 4, 9, 12, or 18) 1-Cn for the investigation of their broadband nonlinear absorption effect. Since we have previously demonstrated their high function as two-photon absorption

Tunable nonlinear optical responses of few-layer graphene through lithium intercalation

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2021
Intercalation has been demonstrated to be a powerful tool for tuning the physical and chemical properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials, providing the highest possible doping level and an ideal system to study various electronic states. In this work,

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
