A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Some Generalizations of Mulit-Valued Version of Schauder’s Fixed Point Theorem with Applications
In this article, a generalization of a Kakutani-Fan fixed point theorem for multi-valued mappings in Banach spaces is proved under weaker upper semi-continuity condition and it is further applied to derive a generalized version of Krasnoselskii’s fixed ...

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

An alternative approach to nonlinear filtering
Abstract The structure of a nonlinear filter with observation process having continuous and discontinuous components is considered. The approach is based on the so-called “Bayes” formula for conditional expectations. “Fubini” type theorems for stochastic integrals are given and used to obtain the representations of an optimal estimate and of the ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

An Alternative Approach for Nonlinear Optimization Problem with Caputo - Fabrizio Derivative
In this study, a fractional mathematical model with steepest descent direction is proposed to find optimal solutions for a class of nonlinear programming problem. In this sense, Caputo-Fabrizio derivative is adapted to the mathematical model.

Nonlinearity Measurements Using Alternating Current
The nonlinearity measurement technique described uses an adapted conventional lock‐in‐amplifier. This technique enables us to measure small nonlinearities over a wide frequency band and is more sensitive than the 1/f noise measurement used to detect non‐homogeneous structures in conductors, resistors and semiconductor components.
