Why Patterns Appear Spontaneously in Dissipative Systems? [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
It is proposed that the spatial (and temporal) patterns spontaneously appearing in dissipative systems maximize the energy flow through the pattern forming interface.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

The parametric characteristics of frequency response functions for nonlinear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The characteristics of the frequency response functions of nonlinear systems can be revealed and analyzed through the analysis of the parametric characteristics of these functions.

Stability of Compacton Solutions of Fifth-Order Nonlinear Dispersive Equations

open access: yes, 2000
We consider fifth-order nonlinear dispersive $K(m,n,p)$ type equations to study the effect of nonlinear dispersion. Using simple scaling arguments we show, how, instead of the conventional solitary waves like solitons, the interaction of the nonlinear ...

Numerical analysis of nonlinear subdiffusion equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present a general framework for the rigorous numerical analysis of time-fractional nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations, with a fractional derivative of order $\alpha\in(0,1)$ in time.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Discussion on “Multidimensional Coincidence Points” via Recent Publications

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We show that some definitions of multidimensional coincidence points are not compatible with the mixed monotone property. Thus, some theorems reported in the recent publications (Dalal et al., 2014 and Imdad et al., 2013) have gaps. We clarify these gaps

Linearized analysis versus optimization-based nonlinear analysis for nonlinear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
For autonomous nonlinear systems stability and input-output properties in small enough (infinitesimally small) neighborhoods of (linearly) asymptotically stable equilibrium points can be inferred from the properties of the linearized dynamics.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
