Nonlinear terahertz metamaterials via field-enhanced carrier dynamics in GaAs
We demonstrate nonlinear metamaterial split ring resonators (SRRs) on GaAs at terahertz frequencies. For SRRs on doped GaAs films, incident terahertz radiation with peak fields of ~20 - 160 kV/cm drives intervalley scattering.

Quasiclassical Approach to Transport in the Vortex State and the Hall Effect [PDF]
We derive generalized quasiclassical transport equations which include the terms responsible for the Hall Effect in the vortex state of a clean type-II superconductor, and calculate the conductivity tensor for an s-wave superconductor in the high-field ...

Objective We assessed the effectiveness of PrismRA to improve clinical outcomes among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) initiating treatment with a biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD). Methods PrismRA incorporated 19 gene expression features and four clinical features to assess a patient's likelihood of

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

We investigate emergent conductive phenomena triggered by collinear antiferromagnetic orderings. We show that an up-down-zero spin configuration in a triangle cluster leads to linear and nonlinear spin conductivities even without the relativistic spin ...

Fluctuation-induced noise in out-of-equilibrium disordered superconducting films
We study out-of-equilibrium transport in disordered superconductors close to the superconducting transition. We consider a thin film connected by resistive tunnel interfaces to thermal reservoirs having different chemical potentials and temperatures. The

Nonlinearity exponents in lightly doped conducting polymers [PDF]
The \textit{I-V} characteristics of four conducting polymer systems like doped polypyrrole (PPy), poly 3,4 ethylene dioxythiophene (PEDOT), polydiacetylene (PDA) and polyaniline (PA) in as many physical forms have been investigated at different temperatures, quenched disorder and magnetic fields.
