A study of the problem of nonlinear filtrational consolidation

We study a rather general problem of nonlinear filtrational consolidation. We give the definition of a weak solution and show that it exists and is unique under certain conditions. We establish a connection between weak and classical solutions of the above problem.

The geometrical nonlinear problems oriented at geotechnical problems are presented herein. Lagrangian, Eulerian and updated Lagrangian procedures are discussed.
