Global Controllability of Nonlinear Systems
SIAM Journal on Control, 1972This article deals with the controllability of nonlinear differential systems which arise when a linear system is perturbed. The sufficiency conditions presented insure that the nonlinear system will be (globally) controllable whenever its linear part is controllable. Moreover, the steering can be accomplished using continuous controls with arbitrarily

Control of Uncertain Nonlinear Systems
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1993This paper describes some of my research in the analysis and control of nonlinear uncertain systems in which the uncertainties are modeled deterministically rather than stochastically. The main applications are to mechanical/aerospace systems, such as robots and spacecraft; the underlying theoretical approach is based on Lyapunov theory.

Invertibility of Nonlinear Control Systems
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1979This paper gives necessary and sufficient conditions for the invertibility of nonlinear control systems of the form $\dot x = A(x) + uB(x)$; $y = c(x)$, where the state space is a real analytic manifold. For invertible systems we construct nonlinear inverse systems.

Perturbations of nonlinear controllable systems
1980 19th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1980In the class of nonlinear, nonautonomous control systems we consider the property of controllability to a compact set on a fixed time interval, and we give a sufficient condition for this property to be preserved under small perturbations of the control system.

Strong Controllability of Nonlinear Systems
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1986Affine control systems defined by analytic vector fields are considered. The author individuates a subset of the Lie algebra associated to the system: the set of semicontrolled vector fields, which characterizes the strong controllability of the system. A method is given to determine some semicontrolled vector fields.

Nonlinear controllers for nonlinear systems with input nonlinearities
Proceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1999The authors consider control systems of the type \[ \dot x= f(x,\sigma(u)),\quad x(0)= x_0,\quad t\geq 0, \] where \(\sigma\) denotes an input nonlinearity -- in many cases saturation -- and present a methodology for designing globally stabilizing nonlinear controllers.

Nonlinear Integral System Control
2020 21th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC), 2020This paper deals with the control of a nonlinear integral system in the form of a DC electric motor with worm gear and a microcontroller-based control unit. The aim is to control the angle of rotation of the output shaft. The paper tries to describe the nonlinearity of the system, which is caused by the typical characteristics of DC electric motors ...
